Been Busy?

I got a comment from Aaron asking about the house and wondering about the lack of posts (and pictures) recently. I have three excuses that I'll share now. I'll list them chronologically.

First, I've been pretty busy with my paying job. As a software engineer, it's always exciting to get elbow deep in new technology. My current project requires me to be fluent in web development technologies such as XHTML, CSS, and Ajax (this in addition to C#.net and SQL Server). Pretty cool. I now have a much better understanding of how sites like Gmail and Flickr work.

Second, I've spent nearly every hour not advancing my understanding of web development working on the woodwork in our master suite. As I type, the woodwork is all built, sanded, and stained. I have not yet started putting the finish coats on yet, but plan on doing that next. Between these two excuses, I've not had time to write in this blog or post pictures. But, now here are a few pictures:

And for my third excuse, although I haven't written about it here, my wife and I were expecting our first child on May 14. He came a week early.
